Rocker Steven Tyler has big lips and a big heart...he and other celebs hit South Florida for good causes

Between Art Basel and all the charity events going on the past few weeks, it's been non-stop celeb watching down here. On Thursday Dec. 6, I spotted Lucy Liu at the Masters Mystery Art Show at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Clad in a hot pink satin dress, Liu bought 20 art postcards at $50 each to benefit FIU's Masters in Fine Arts Program.

Just when I was winding down from my Charlie's Angel sighting, it was time to hit the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for the Tyler Friday Dec. 7. I got to the Casino around 4:30 p.m., and literally walked right into Steven Tyler who was practically jogging through the lobby of the hotel to dodge a mob of fans screaming his name. He was carrying a black leather purse with a long shoulder strap, which I've seen him lugging before. Around 8 p.m., he made a cameo inside the Hard Rock Cafe, on a stage, behind a velvet rope and a half a dozen beefy security guys of course. He dedicated an old green Spandex stage outfit he wore in the '70s posed for some pics and was gone in a flash. He later showed up at the Ninth Annual Fort Lauderdale Harley-Davidson Bikers Bash, which raised money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
Tyler's friend and longtime songwriting partner, Richie Supa hit the stage with Brett James, the Nashville singer/guitarist who wrote Carrie Underwood's hit "Jesus Take The Wheel" along with two other talented female vocalists and guitarists. Tyler quietly tried to eat his dinner in the corner (which he collected from a buffet with bodyguards around him). Supermodel and motorcycle/tattoo enthusiast Niki Taylor was in the corner being lovey dovey with her new hubby, race car driver Burney Lamar. She is one of my idols. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a model and be just like her. I had met her a couple times before so I was anxious to see her again. As always, she was completely sweet to me and we chatted for a few minutes before they sat down. Tyler got on a stage and took the house down performing the many hits Supa penned for him such as "Misery," the duet he sang with Pink, Amazing and later "Chip Away the Stone" with surprise guest Vince Neil. You gotta love these guys. Rock on boys!
